Backend developer

This position will have the responsibility to:

Create consumer-grade web-based applications & eCommerce websites.
Develop web services to support our mobile applications.
Identify opportunities to leverage new technologies to enhance our projects.
Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure all requirements are met
Support ongoing development for existing projects/applications
Improve test coverage of existing codebases

Basic Qualifications:

At least 2 years of backend development experience
Experience developing web services in PHP, Python using Django or similar
Experience developing scalable REST APIs
Database development experience using relational databases such as PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
Experience with NoSQL databases

Preferred Experience:

Strong experience with test-driven development methodologies
Strong data modeling experience
Experience developing applications that run on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
Experience developing applications that incorporate data privacy regulations such as GDPR, PCI, or HIPAA.
Experience working on Agile or Scrum development teams
Knowledge of wearables technology
